Executive Committee Application

Please use this form to apply for a club executive committee role within any of the Team UOP Sports Clubs. The roles in the Executive Committee are Preseident, Vice President and Club Captain. Alongside this form you should ensure you meet the criteria below.
 
Criteria to apply for an Exec committee role within your sports club:
  • You must be a University of Portsmouth student for the 26/27 academic year. If your student status changes, you must inform teamuop@port.ac.uk.
  • All committee members must have a Team UoP sports clubs membership for the 26/27 academic year. Any committee members without a membership will no longer hold their committee role.
  • If you are a Tier 4 visa holder, your committee role counts towards your weekly volunteer/working hours.
  • The Department of Sport and Recreation (the staff department that looks after Team UoP sports clubs and committee members) hold the right to decline and cancel any committee applications that do not meet the threshold for applications, and from applicants they deem unsuitable to hold a committee position due to the risk to Team UoP's reputation.
  • If you are on placement or study abroad and therefore will miss the potential assessment days (23, 24 and 26 March 2026) you must email teamuop@port.ac.uk to make them aware of this alongside your application.

If you are on placement, you can still apply for a role, but you must have been a member of a Team UOP sports club for the previous on campus academic year.

Each club has been assigned a specific focus for the upcoming academic year, this has already been communicated via email, please make sure you are aware of this before completing this section of the application.





Training

If you are successfully voted in to the role you are applying for, you will be expected to attend committee training throughout the year to ensure you can complete your role effectively. The first of this is handover conference is 15-17th June please make sure you are available during this period.
