The Students vs Staff Charity Football Match is in preparation to return for 2026. The match typically played annually at Fratton Park is a fantastic opportunity to play at one of the most historic stadiums in the UK.
Please complete this form if you are interested in attending the initial training sessions for the Student's team. Attending these sessions will give you the opportunity to trial later into the sessions and receive football coaching for all standards.
A place on the team will require demonstration of commitment, team cohesion and raising funds of £200 per player. Selection will be based on performance and attitude at these sessions and trials, not from previous experience or training. There will be a maximum of 2 players each from UOP Men's and Women's football club. This is a mixed team, for which the number of male and female places will be selected to balance the players on the staff team.
Sessions will be at Langstone on Tuesday's 2-4pm, starting Tuesday 17 March. The first sessions are mandatory to be considered for the team. Dates and times throughout Easter will be reviewed. The date of the match is still TBC due to availability at Fratton Park. It is likely to be a Sunday or Monday in early May, but we will release the date as soon as possible.
